Solidarity Cycle 🚴

Registration for Solidarity Cycle is now open.

We look forward to seeing your smiling faces, good will and enthusiasm again this year.

The blossoms are on the trees and many of you will have dusted off your bike and are ready to ride! We have loved our time spent with you all on our previous two Solidarity Cycles and are awed by your spirit, good will, fortitude on the ride and the generosity of your donors. Together you have raised $80K in two rides.

These funds will have made a profound difference in the lives of African grandmothers and their grandchildren. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for joining in with us on this life-changing venture.

We hope you will all be joining us this year for Solidarity Cycle’s 3rd anniversary. There will be some changes in the ride this year to make it easier for more people to participate.

The venue for the finale has changed. We will be welcoming you over the finish line at Yarrow Ecovillage, 42312 Yarrow Central Road. For more details please see https://solidaritycycle.weebly.com/

We have tightened up the time frame a bit this year so that the early arrivals are not waiting too long for the last stragglers. We encourage each cyclists to gauge their level of fitness and plan accordingly.

We have 3 routes to choose from:
The “Classic 100” from White Rock to Yarrow for cyclists who want the challenges this ride presents.
The “Easy 50” from Aldergrove to Yarrow for cyclists who want a shorter ride on quiet roads with no hills.
The “Yarrow 100 loop” starting and finishing in Yarrow for cyclists who want to ride 100 km but want to enjoy the pastoral setting and avoid the hills.

There is a well-organized series of training rides to help you reach your best. For details please see https://solidaritycycle.weebly.com/updates–training–safety.html

We will be accepting registration on May 1, 2019. We are excited to see your names coming in for Solidarity Cycle 2019. Please register early — we can’t stand the suspense!

Warmest regards,
Janine Reid & Darcy Billinkoff for the planning team.
